Nathan Howard Joins GreenTech Automotive as the General Counsel

July 5, 2011 – GreenTech Automotive (GTA) announced that Nathan Howard has joined the company as the General Counsel to lead the company's legal department.

Mr. Howard has long held a passionate interest in environmental concerns and in economically viable green technology. In both his professional career and his personal life, he has maintained a commitment to sustainable development. Mr. Howard brings over 10 years of experience representing public and private companies in connection with numerous mergers and acquisitions, public and private placements of securities, corporate compliance, and general commercial transactions.

Before joining GTA, Mr. Howard was the Corporate Counsel for National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, where he was viewed as an authority on alternative energy sources. He also served on NRUCFC's disclosure committee responsible for all Exchange Act filings and successfully conducted the company's contractual and regulatory compliance operations.

Mr. Howard has extensive experience in major law firms in New York and Washington on a wide variety of corporate transactions. He started his legal career at one of the most prestigious Wall Street law firms and continued his practice at a top law firm in Washington, DC after he left New York. He was one of the primary negotiators and the responsible attorney for numerous transactions including a billion dollar merger involving multi-national companies with operations in China, Singapore, Germany, Czech Republic, India, and Russia. He has led teams of attorneys in multiple successful public and private issuances of securities. He has extensive experience at all phases of contract negotiation and drafting. Mr. Howard also has broad knowledge of credit issues and of general corporate law, with experience in formulating asset acquisition strategies, drafting supply agreements, and developing strategies for addressing employee benefit and intellectual property issues.

Mr. Howard earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from University of Michigan Law School, at which he was the John M. Olin Fellow in Law and Economics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
