Michael McCarthy - Director of Human ResourcesMike McCarthy is the Human Resources Director for GreenTech Automotive. McCarthy has a passion for building professional staff and productive human resource systems that support dynamic business objectives in entrepreneurial, game-changing environments. McCarthy has held progressively challenging, senior human resources leadership responsibilities for manufacturing businesses in the automotive, aerospace, electrical distribution, and pharmaceutical industries. He has served as the human resources business partner for manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality assurance, customer service, engineering, sales, corporate legal, and compliance risk functions on a global basis. Prior to joining GreenTech, McCarthy founded the Networked Expert Workforce, which is an organization dedicated to assisting organizations grow and solve business issues more effectively and efficiently by collaborating with a broad field of workplace expertise. As a Human Resources Director, he provided direction and human resources leadership to key operating executives for a $2.3B global supply chain consisting of six locations with employees in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom in addition to providing human resources leadership for corporate legal and compliance and risk departments for Shire Pharmaceuticals. At Eaton Corporation, McCarthy directed their Aerospace Electrical Sensing and Controls Division human resources function which consisted of six U.S. manufacturing facilities with shared human resource responsibilities for shared campuses in Reynosa & Tijuana, Mexico. Outside of his business career, McCarthy leverages his leadership and team participation capabilities to positively benefit the community in many ways, including coaching youth soccer, assisting with Habitat for Humanity projects, and participating with environmentally conscious organizations. McCarthy holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Penn State. |
