Gary Tang - Executive Vice President, Finance

Gary Tang serves as the EVP in charge of Finance. He is a seasoned investment professional, and brings over a decade of institutional investment experience to the company. Tang was involved in trading and asset management for one of the largest and most active securities portfolios in the world. He has proven expertise in capital markets, portfolio management, and securities analysis with global view. His investment experience provides valuable guidance to the company’s long-term financial objectives.

Tang has run the finance operations and carries out the company’s mission: To make green technologies affordable to average Americans. Prior to his current position, he led a team of investment professionals for a multi-billion dollar securities portfolio in the capital markets division at one of the world’s largest financial institutions. During his tenure, Tang implemented investment strategies on a global basis and conducted portfolio investment policy development.

Earlier, Tang was employed by a leading mortgage bank located in Florida where he worked with the senior management team on a multi-billion dollar mortgage portfolio. In his leadership role, he implemented proprietary strategy to address investment risk for the bank.

In addition to his business responsibilities, Tang has an interest in the academic arena. As a CFA charter holder and practicing investment professional, Tang actively participates in CFA Institute activities and contributes his extensive business experience to the evolving investment knowledge landscape.

Tang received his Master of Business Administration degree with honors from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China. Tang is a CFA charter holder and a member of CFA Institute.
