Mac Yousry - Chief Compliance Officer-Engineering, Director of Product Development ? MyCar

Mac Yousry, GreenTech Automotive?s Chief Compliance Officer-Engineering, Director of Product Development ? MyCar , has more than 30 years of automotive experience and has provided engineering and certification services to some of the world?s leading manufacturers, including Toyota, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan, Audi, and Kia in a program leadership capacity. Amongst his diverse skills are new vehicle certification to EEC, CMVSS, and U.S. EPA, CARB and NHTSA standards; vehicle safety systems design, engineering, development and testing; complete vehicle regulatory design guidance and product planning; and liaison with government agencies on behalf of manufacturers.

Early in his career, Yousry was employed by Ford Motor Company as a Senior Product Engineer and by American Motors Corporation as a Vehicle Development Supervisor.  Working with these Detroit-based auto companies and with Intelligent Controls, Inc.  Yousry used his mechanical engineering background to design and develop software strategies for electronic engine controls and control of vehicle emissions.  He also worked on powertrain development and calibration under cold/hot weather and high altitude conditions using state-of-the-art electronic engine control systems.

As Senior Vice President for Global Motors, Yousry was responsible for engineering, certification, manufacturing, quality control, logistics and all overseas operations. He directed an overseas manufacturing plant with daily production of 300 cars, sourced parts from worldwide vendors with emphasis on cost reductions, conducted engineering, time, material and design feasibility analysis for the importation of new vehicles to the US market and was a member of the corporate product and strategic planning committees.

Yousry founded Global Vehicle Services Corp. in 1989.  GVS is a recognized industry leader in the areas of new vehicle regulatory design, development, and certification to worldwide standards.  At GVS Yousry obtained more than 45 certifications for various car lines and represented the majority of US niche manufacturers in matters relating to worldwide certification.  He led development of an electric vehicle (largest projected volume in the US at the time) for the US market, and was a leader in the selection, engineering, and development of a number of Chinese vehicles as the Chief Technical Officer for a US distributor.  He maintains close working relationships with US, Canadian, and European certification agencies.

Holding Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Masters degree in Computer Sciences from Wayne State University, Mac Yousry is the leader of GTA?s engineering activities and guarantor of vehicle compliance. He will also play an instrumental role in assisting GTA?s manufacturing efforts in North America and other markets.
