Manufacturing

In late 2009, GTA CEO, Charles Wang, announced plans for a new automotive complex to be based in the great state of Mississippi. That vision is being realized today as GTA prepares its first assembly operation to begin in late 2011.

With 380,000 square feet under roof, GTA's first plant will be used for the production of GTA's first vehicle, a neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) named MyCar. MyCar has evolved from a concept car created by the world-renowned Italian designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro.

Later in 2012, MyCar production will be moved to GTA's all-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located approximately 20 miles away in Tunica, MS. The first phase of this automotive industrial complex will be a 300,000 square foot assembly operation. Groundwork has already begun and the cornerstone and foundation will be laid later this year. The Tunica plant will become the home of MyCar and future GTA hybrid and electric models.

Production of MyCar and its derivatives, plus the all-new vehicles to be added to the product portfolio will lead to the formation of 5,000 new direct and indirect jobs in Mississippi and the vendor base nationwide.

We are proud to say, Made in America, exported to the world. A new tradition in the making, soon to be realized.
